This is the best and most effective hair removal method I’ve tried. I loved how I can easily adjust settings to remove hair on my armpit, bikini line, and on my legs. Also, I have very sensitive skin and this left my skin silky!

Honestly, I can’t think of many downsides about this product (other than I wish these were around when I was teen!). If I had to pick one, it’s that it isn’t available on Amazon, but honestly, for such a high-quality product, I’ll order it straight from their official store.

It leaves no hair behind and results last up to months because it removes the hair from the root. What pleasantly surprised us is how painless it is and it doesn’t leave any redness or marks even for the most sensitive skin type.

We really enjoyed in laser hair removal and how effective it is at removing body hair. The biggest downside is the cost that’s usually around $200 per treatment and you’ll have to book multiple sessions to have longer-lasting results, meaning that overall cost can quickly ramp up.

We really loved the whole spy-type of experience and how you feel at salon. After the treatment, the skin was very smooth and there weren’t any redness or irritation. The results lasted for 5 weeks before we had to book a new session to re-do everything again.
🙈 What are the downsides
Our primary concern is overall cost. In most cases, you will need good 6-7 sessions which then ramps up to $1,400 in cost – which is a lot. Another thing we didn’t like is the recommended lotions to keep your skin smooth after this type of treatment as they’re very expensive too.
3. Waxing
What we love:

What we don't like:
- Not good for sensitive skin
- Can't be used on bikini line
- Sometimes doesn't pull all hair
- Painful
⭐ Overall Rating
Waxing at home was really easy, time-saving, and it have done a great job in removing hair on legs. However, it’s not so suitable for sensitive skin as it will leave you with redness and even in some cases with itchiness.
❤️ What we love ️
Home waxing kit had very pleasant scent which gives you spa vibes and you can do it all by yourself from the comfort of your home. We enjoyed in the whole process and putting on wax was really relaxing and it warms up your skin. Also, it’s very affordable method.
🙈 What are the downsides:
While waxing is good hair removal method, it’s painful and you can’t use it on your bikini line or face without redness or irritation (my sister was itching for 2 days after waxing). Home waxing kits are usually cheaply made and imported from China, so the list of ingredients isn’t very reliable.
Lastly, I was a bit disappointed in effectiveness because I had to apply wax on certain areas multiple times to completely remove hair.
4. Shaving
What we love:
- Easy to use
- Affordable
- Very time-saving
- You can use it anywhere, anytime
What we don't like:
- Causes ingrown hair & bumps
- Not skin-friendly
- Hair grows back thicker
- RIsk of serious infections
⭐ Overall Rating
Removing hair with razor is something everyone has done as a teenager – it’s cost-friendly, very fast, and you can use it under the shower. After more in-depth research, I realized that razors are very damaging to the skin and they cause your hair to grow back thicker.
❤️ What we love️
Speed and convenience is the biggest advantage of using razors. They’re very affordable and you can use them when you need a quick shave. They work pretty well for less sensitive areas such as legs and armpits.
🙈 What are the downsides
Shaving will definitely damage your skin and most-likely cause razor bumps and other irritations. The risk of ingrown hair is high, and they cause hair follicles to grow back faster and more thicker. Also, you can’t shave facial hair as shaving only removes hair from the surface.
5. Hair Removal Creams
What we love:
- Very safe for sensitive skin
- They aren't painful to use
- Gentle and easy hair removal
- No risk of ingrown hair
What we don't like:
- Short results
- Often needs to be re-applied
- Contains chemical ingredients
- Leaves skin oily afterwards
- Can not be used on facial area
⭐ Overall Rating
Hair removal creams did a solid job in our test of removing hair, however, we find them more convenient as a pre-treatment for hair removal. Often times we had to reapply it on certain areas to completely remove hair, but the process is completely painless and very gentle on the skin.

For quick and pain-free hair removal, these creams work pretty well. They had pleasant scent and they don’t require a lot of effort. These creams have moisturizing capabilities that left our skin hydrated without any redness.
🙈 What are the downsides
Biggest downside is the effectiveness since we had to re-apply cream on some areas to completely remove the hair. Also, you can’t expect lasting results as it will typically last around 5 days before you have to remove hair again. A lot of formulations contain chemical ingredients, so you have to be cautious to pick the right one.
Why We Chose Silkier IPL Device.
So, to recap, I didn’t go into this thinking I’d fall in love with IPL lasers, especially after seeing how much some of them cost. Silkier IPL was a lot more effective, skin-friendly, flexible than any other hair removal method we’ve tried out.
